July 4^th is right around the corner and I'm pretty sure I'll be stuck in the city.  Last summer, I had the great fortune to have a friend with a house on the east end of Long Island.  I lovingly referred to my 7-bedroom second home as, "the Mansh'y in the Hampty's."  Sigh.  Those were the good old days.

This summer, I'd need to dip into a More-01k to be able to afford going anywhere east of Broadway.  So, I've downsized my summer vacation to a beach chair, a good book, and spray bottle on my fire escape.  Double sigh. 

But there is a silver lining on this stormy summer cloud. Thanks to a pair of NYC dwellers-slash-entreprenuers, I can bring the dunes with me wherever go! Their sun care line, Hampton Sun, was created for the ultra-chic Hampton crowd, to develop a golden glow without a beach burn.  They've come up with a variety of products to help you achieve and prolong the perfect summertime tan, without the high-end price tag.

So at least I have one less wrinkle to worry about while I'm catching some rays above cement city.
